Camille, double points are the main thing that need to go and the main motivation behind this change. The double points is way, way too good of a deal and point sales are suffering greatly due to this, making it very hard to keep covering the expenses of the site.

My personal reasons for being a donator was because I wanted to donate to the site as I get a lot of enjoyment out of it - the benefits were a bonus. However, the double points have been the most valued benefit for me - I would be disappointed to see either donator packs or double point benefits go.
I am not the one that setup the donator days in the first place, that is why I am trying to fix it. The only one being a creep is you, hiding behind your anonymity.

most web games give a hell of a lot more to donators than you, james. why are you being such a creep? if you want to make more money, give better benefits for donating and get more subscribers instead of soaking the few loyal subscribers you have. jeebuzz!

If your thinking of ending the double points, maybe offer points with the package. But if you end the double points, being a donator loses some or most of its benefit.

I would say if you're not selling the point packs, offer something else with them. possibly a forum or something that benefits spending $5
