4 out of 5 dentists post using the Dashboard Write Panel. lol I've actually tried several other programs, plugins, etc to write for my WordPress blogs and I really do prefer the Dashboard. The Auto-Saving in the latest versions works really well, so I don't worry about lost work, plus I have all of the functionality of the WordPress plugins that I might be using.

I use the dashboard write panel to only set tags, etc., and post; I don't use it to write content. I compose everything in a separate editor and just paste the final content into the write panel.
