This Creatures is surprisingly good for about 3-4 minutes. I didn’t have this ranked at all but thank you to the folks that pulled it into the bracket. Glad I revisited. Having said that, this Bird has two excellent sections that I revisit often. Easy vote for Bird here

I love me some creatures and this is an amazing one. Relistening to both jams made it closer than I thought it would be, but the red bird still easily wins here. The last 8 minutes or so is top notch goose bliss and I am here for it

This Creatures is #3 overall on my list and the segment from 18-22 minutes is the best Goose of 2024.

Love this Red Bird 2 segment jam. Second part reminds me of the progression known as Beautiful Jam by GD https://youtu.be/9WD3d_CUTbw?si=iuMoLVaLbtlZ9GY8

I had to listen to these a few times to fully make up my mind, which puts me firmly in the minority on this one. The Red Bird feels like a cross between a Red Bird jam and a Thatch jam, which sounds awesome but it's not really an exceptional one of either to me. Really cool groove out of the gate and they sit in that pocket for a while but I don't love the Thatch-y jam that it evolves into (I know a lot of people do love it). Nice blissy breakdown segment that chills the whole thing out and is pleasing to the ears, but again I think it's somewhat unsatisfying for it to be a super highly ranked jam for me.
I think this is a really good Red Bird, but it's a better Creatures by Creatures standards than this Red Bird is by Red Bird standards (I have a few others from 2024 above it on my list). But that doesn't make it the better jam. It's actually something of a toss-up between which one I'd rather hear live (the Creatures would be fun as fuck), but I'm going with Red Bird as the better jam by a much smaller margin than I expected.

I have this Creatures in my top ten. Too bad... it doesn't look like it's making it past this round.

This Creatures ends up in a pretty great destination. I'm voting for the upset! Red Bird definitely contains some solid playing but it's just missing something for my taste.

TBH I wasn't even tracking this Creatures when putting my playlist together but I'm finding it a pleasant surprise while listening here. It's a pretty good Creatures!
That said, it's not even the best Creatures of the year and I don't even have that one in my playlist. So it gets steamrolled by this elite Red Bird--containing two distinct and powerful jams--both of which have a considerable leg up on anything this Creatures has to offer.

The Brady was on fire during this Red Bird

Neither of these jams are inspiring. I have to vote for Red Bird, it is better, but neither of these have legs

I love me some Creatures, but this Redbird was a cherry on top of an incredible run. The room really vibed coming into the jam and the joy was flowing. It’s not going to make it to JOTY but it does deserve to move on over the Creatures.

I went with Creatures - with no illusions of it moving forward. It hits where I need it. I can go to other jams for what this Bird offers.

Easy vote for my #2 Bird of 24 (had it at 12).
Takes a bit to figure out what it wants to be. But, once it enters bliss formation, it executes gorgeously — slowly building intensity w/ Cotter controlling dynamics.
Nothing wrong with the ear-candy Creatures. Nothing extraordinary about it either.

Very nice, bird. Starts fiery with a 46 days style jam that I heard a lot in 2023, but then it slows down around 15 mins and then it builds up into something truly beautiful with Rick/Peter out front. Ricks playing has me wanting to fly over some desert and mesas out west. Could be used as a soundtrack to a movie. Just perfect playing.
