Wow! At four in the morning Deloach had a 3 point lead. There must have been a lot of folks to get up early. LOL
About the post by BJ. Just take it down! Politics already stinks. There is no need to make it smell worse.

@Bob -- How can you consider a person who is basically only a three month a year politician (unless there is a special called session) a career politician? Are you not aware that Mr. Scott also owns his own business? A career politician is one who works every day as an elected official. I don't consider any of Georgia's Senators or Representatives career politicians. They only make $17K a year as opposed to the six digits that U.S. Senators and Representatives makes.
@Billy Jo -- Where is your proof? Believe it or not, there are some involved in politics who actually know how to behave and are actually loyal to their spouses. Austin Scott is that kind of politician. He's a man of integrity.
Craig Adams - 14 years ago
Billy jo, I hope that is a statement you can prove, I will not rest until I get your computer pc information no matter the cost.

I voted for Austin Scott today. I am from Forsyth, and I had never met Mr. Scott until the forum the other night in my home town. I was sorder leaning toward Mr. DeLoach until he uttered a sentence that took me back. "I have been happly married to the same woman for 22 years". Well I have been married twice and I myself took that the wrong way it was like a slap to us all that have ex spouses. If Austin has been married before so what, so have other people some times more than twice. Our entire row got Mr. DeLoach message but it turned us OFF!!!! The three of us ladies sitting there have been married more than once. He got six votes out of that statement, our votes and our NEW spouses votes. Go Austin Scott!!!!

Let's all get on the train... does Earl know how to drive one? LOL Just what ever it takes to get Marshall out of office that is all I would like to see..... Austin or Ken Makes no difference to me, after the primary I will be supporting one or the other anyway. I am not sharing who I am voting for but one thing for sure it is not the moving Vann.

Jerry Mills - 14 years ago
It has to say something when your own town (tifton Partiots) does not even give you the support! GO KEN!!!!!!
Dwayne Evors - 14 years ago
I just got a report that Ken DeLoach received a 67% vote at the Tifton Patriots Tea Party straw poll. Go Ken!!!
Bob - 14 years ago
Deloach is an man I can related and I will be supporting him. Ken was in the race first. Austin has been in Atlanta for 14 years and this time around people are looking for someone who is not a politician. Go KEN GO!!!!!!

Austin Scott is will qualified to take on Jim Marshall and take him out of office. He has the experience. Just ask the people in Tift County. He has grown and matured during his years in the House. He has stayed the course and worked for what was right for his district and the State of Georgia. Stop point fingers and support the person who can help take our Country back. If Georgia wants to make a change in Washington, then Austin Scott is our man. Remember Massachusetts did it - GEORGIA can also.

Amen Craig!
Craig Adams - 14 years ago
Dwayne that sounds good! I have a better understanding now. But nervous not at all.... you are right that person does sound arrogant I will agree on that! We all should vote for who we think is best for the job and can get Marshall out of there! we are all republicans when all the cards fall and should stick together. Thanks guy no harm intended toward your choice.
Dwayne Evors - 14 years ago
Wow! I sure stirred you guys up. That was fun. You must be a little nervous. However, just to be clear on something; I never called Austin arrogant. I don't know him. I am saying that it is arrogant to ask DeLoach to step aside. If Austin wins fine: but he is going to have to win. Marshal want step aside, that's for sure. I supported Rick Goddard and was privileged to be at the VP fund raiser at Mr. Steve Davison's house. Who, by the way, supports Ken DeLoach! Debate is healthy and fun, but in the end, we will all be on the same team. Team USA.

The way I see it Austin Scott is refreshing to this election and I am glad he switched... I voted for him Thursday in Warner robins where I live.
Craig Adams - 14 years ago
Calm down everybody we have 16 days before we have to take on that Marshall man. He will not be our next Congressman and I am sorry Mr. Evors it will be Austin Scott. State Represntavive Scott is also all you said about Mr. DeLoach except he will know what he is doing. Are you kidding me I would not vote for a man that just because he has a fresh face to politics, we need to win this race and I am affraid your man does not have what it takes to retire Marshall. He could never put Pelosi in her place and I know Austin Scott can.We need a man up there in Washington that can handle them and from what I have seen your man is way to sweet. Austin Scott is tough and has what it takes! Also Scott is a good family man and works hard and is a christian attends church with his wife in Tifton at the First Baptist. He is a small business owner and works for his money. I wish his dad could fund this campaign he would probably have more money for this campaign,so get off the rich daddy stuff we are not going to fall for that one. Sorry Mr. Deloach is not fortunate to have well to do parents but let's not kick Austin around just because his pop has cash and that he worked for not Austin.
Carol Stokes - 14 years ago
Mr. Evors you are a good man with good answers. I know Mr. DeLoach and you are correct. Who ever wins the 20th I will work my rear off to help them get elected in November. I have voted for Marsall brfore and I thought I was doing the right thing, I was wrong. I also noticed the comment about Earl and the boys on his team, you could not ask for more respectful guys when I am around them, Austin should be proud to have them. They could be a big help to anyone and I know they work hard for their man. As far as arrogance I think Mr. Scott is a very kind man and I am sure he would not approve that post that person wrote that offended you. He has switched races you are correct but he is not the first to do so and will not be the last. Good luck to them both.
Dwayne Evors - 14 years ago
LOL! I was addressing those who say DeLoach should step aside. But really, do we need another “experienced professional politician”. I’m ready for someone who has experienced life without a safety net . What will catch Jim Marshall off guard is a fresh face. He is already loaded and waiting for Scott. Hey, if Scott wins.; he has my support. I just think we should really give DeLoach a good look. He is smart, capable, a good Father and husband, a great American and old enough to run.. According to the constitution, he is qualified. Go Ken go!
Carol Stokes - 14 years ago
Mr. Evors you are so wrong about Austin Scott father. I have never seen that man any where at a political event and he could not fund that race, the federal law would not allow him to do so. As far as arrogance Austin Scott would give any one help he could.
Dwayne Evors - 14 years ago
To say that Austin Scott is the only man that can take Jim Marshal down is preposterous. This race is not about a man; it’s about policy! To ask Ken DeLoach to step aside is arrogant and presumptuous. What this country needs are men and women of character and principles. Ken DeLoach has both. Ken was not looking for a job in Washington. He believes he is answering a call for God and country. He did not drop out of one race because he thought he had a better chance to win another. He has stayed the course with no help from the political elites who think he is too conservative to win. That’s because he truly is a conservative with the values of an every day American. As for stepping aside and letting Austin have it, this is America where some of us still believe in hard work and earning your pay day. This race isn’t an inheritance from Daddy or a prize for being a good ole boy. This race is about common ordinary citizens like me, and if you don’t mind; I would like to exercise my right to vote for Ken DeLoach the next congressmen from the eighth district of Georgia. Oh, and if Austin happens to win, we just might support him if you give us a little respect. Arrogance doesn’t look good on you and we need each other to win in November.

Yes In deed Mr Hawkins you do not have a clue what Earle Shivers can do. Austin Scott will be that man. I am almost certain of that. I also know he will beat that Jim Marshall IN NOVEMBER HANDS DOWN!!
John Hawkins - 14 years ago
Austin Scott will win that race. He is the only one that can take down Jim Marshall. Mr. DeLoach needs to step a side and let him have it, well you will have no choice July 20th. I think the moving Vann is the biggest joke ever in Politics a real nut for sure. Mr. DeLoach I hope after the 20th you will support Mr. Scott and help him continue to take down Mr. Marshall. Mr. Scott has a very hard working team that never stops, those boys are very dedicated to Mr. Scott and will climb mountains for him if needed. Those boys that work for him work day and night 7 days a week and that Earle Shivers is no person to reckon with along with those boys. You will see what I am talking about real soon. We are already see more about Mr. Scott around Macon than we ever did about Mr. Collins Or Mr. Goddard and I am telling you they are like trains they will plow right thru you that Scott faculty.
