Thanks Heather! You're so right too!! I didn't mention Dear John in my entry as it is one of those movies that love but it so hard for me to watch. When I saw it the first time in the theater, I fell apart. I have lymphoma, I am dying from it. Only my husband walked out on me when it came back and left me alone. So not only is it hard to see a character, which is basically looking in a mirror at my future, but to see what I would have given anything to have had, someone who I loved standing by my side, its impossible to hold it together. Also, anytime my baby watches, she get so sad knowing thats gonna be me. But its still a movie I love. That Nicholas Sparks owes me a mint in Kleenex as I always leave his movies a basket case, lol!!! Anyway, like you said, those scenes, they aren't always gonna make you smile, but a good actor can make you feel all kinds of emotions. And you are so right, ten minutes of She's The Man is the world's best pain medicine :P

Thanks Rafael! And, Lena, you said it beautifully! I think the reason that we ALL (not just the Top Ten) love Chan and Jenna (or Chenna, since it's just fun to call them that =) is that we all have at least one movie scene or interview clip or picture that reminds us so much of a very personal and emotional time in our life. Although I didn't list it as my "favorite" scene, the scene with John saying goodbye to his dad is one of the most powerful and painful scenes I've ever watched. Having had a strained relationship with my dad my entire life, I had a a very hard time dealing with his sudden death several years ago. I could relate SO well to Chan's character - as strange as it sounds, this scene somehow helped me say goodbye to my own dad. I still sob like a baby every time I watch it, but Chan did such a great job of capturing the agony that accompanies a parent's death. So, I totally understand what you mean when you talk about being able to "connect" to these movies. And, on a less sad note, it only takes a few minutes of She's The Man to set a bad day back on track! =)

Thank you so very much Rafael. Not just for the vote, but for helping me to illustrate a very good point in all of this. I have wanted to enter this contest since the first year, but for different reasons, mostly just lack of having the needed time to put together the proper entry I thought a contest like this deserved as I was busy working three jobs for awhile and then I was too sick to do much at all. That never meant I was any less of a fan! When I was at my worst, in the hospital or just home recovering from chemo or one surgery or another, I could always count on putting on a Channing or Jenna movie to just help me forget the pain for awhile. Not only that, but as a mom to a teenager, in a world filled with so many fallen idols these days, its nice to have some real ones who I can be proud to have my daughter look up to and want to be like. We share this passion, and I'm happy about that! So, in my eyes I have already won.
Yes, I would love to be in the top three. I'm not gonna lie, if I didn't I never would have entered. But I also have to say I have my own faves after reading all the enteries. I love being reminded of so many awesome Channing and Jenna movies and moments, and even more, why other fans love those moments. To hear why they can relate to them. One example is Heather telling us how the airport scene in Dear John reminded her of her reunions with her husbands, Its so true, they are just like that with my baby bro and my sis in law too, and I loved hearing Heathers stories. I loved hearing Travis's story about his meeting with Channing this April too. These are just too of several of the stories that touched me. I read all your entries, every word. I loved them all. I voted for all the ones that touched me.
Several of you have reached out to me on twitter, thats another prize to me. I am a huge fan of several actors, actresses and musicans. Through Twitter and their pgs I have made so many amazing friends, I can't imagine my life without them. Living with cancer you rely on your friends, and my Twitter family keeps me going. They know how a movie, or TV show or song can be just the right medicine. All of you can understand how somedays all I need is to sit and watch Step Up, or She's The Man, or GI Joe, or Fighting or The Dilemna or The Eagle or Coach Carter, or Dear John or Stop Loss, or Take The Lead, or I could keeep going but you all get my point.
So will, I be sad if I don't make the top three, yeah probably cause I would love to have an autographed photograph from Channing and Jenna, that would so totally make my year, but I will still win. I just hope that I have been a good representive of them for as long as I am a part of this, cause I know there are a lots of people out there who would love to be in my spot and I don't take any of this for granted. And any of you would like to chat some time, I would love to get to know each and every one of ya! Any fan of Channing and Jenna's is always welcome to say hey!!
