We ask PHILIPS to make better the built in player of video files in LED TVs of 2011 year series 7ххх (for example, model PFL7606H/60)

The user interface seems to be inspired from DOS times. Filenames shorted beyond recognition.
Several multimedia player are available for some 100 bucks which do the playing task much better. With fast forward, skip, index track, subtitles .

Another wish: Using SMB/CIFS network shares (passwords allowed).

    2 Sergie:
No, it not "additional" function. It is underlined, as one of working functions almost any modern TV. I want, that in my (new!) TV Philips it worked normally.

    2 DEMON:
Yes, I can recode a file, but I don't want to be engaged in it. I download a file and if it correctly is reproduced on TV of other mark, why on Philips it not so? At us support of the SAME formats of video is declared, but the videoplayer badly works. The overwhelming majority with me agree. If you have nothing to do - recode to yourself on health.

To correctly display the video playback by usb just need to choose the right video codec. Your problem, curved hands :)

infatti è assurdo, la tv già non converte 2d-->3d; poi non legge tutti gli mkv, insomma lato software non sono per niente soddisfatto!!!

Well, yes, built-in player in PHILIPS isn't the best one - problems with rewind and stop and reproduction, yes... but hey, it's a TV ! player is just an "additional feature". Be happy with it.
They still can't fix all bugs in TV itself, what to say about player.
Just buy some external player (for example ASUS O!PLAY MINI ) and be happy :-)
