For example, there should be a train linking the east coast of South Florida with the state's west coast.
The drive is a long and boring one. I'd rather be reading on a train.
By a small margin, the Florida residents voted down a fast-speed train some years ago, which the federal government would have given the state a lot of money for. Foolish voters indeed.

What is the point of this survey?
The problems with public transportation in almost any US city are the service cuts and fare hikes - on top of service that was poor to begin with. Yet when we enter this in the "other" category, it does not even get counted!
It seems that the REAL purpose of this poll is just to attack public transportation in in general by characterizing it as an annoyance.
