Whoa, is this scary stuff, or are we in new era of voodoo transportation planning? The City of Ottawa is in a financial bind, the province is cutting funds to municipalities because the province is in a financial bind, the City cannot properly maintain the current road network, potholes by the thousands dot road surfaces in all directions, the massively expensive LRT will be desperate for paying customers, and in the midst of all that harsh financial reality, more roads are widened to compound maintenance problems that get worse every year, and will draw paying customers away the LRT which faces huge operating costs once it is launched, and which will likely continue to escalate for decades. Hoo boy.
