Yes global climate change and global warming is happening in front of our eyes and it is primarily caused by human activities. We experience and will experience more and more extremes of our normal weather conditions worldwide.

A major concern is a runaway global warming as a result of more and more methane being released from Earth’s permafrosts in the Arctic (Siberia, Canada, Alaska).

Earth’s history shows that releasing these stores could set off a series of events with calamitous consequences. Methane is a greenhouse gas more than 30 times more potent than CO2. The Siberian permafrost is in particular danger. A large region called the Yedoma could undergo runaway decomposition once it starts to melt. And it is only a question about time.

It is way past overdue to do something radically with our life style, and act.

Inland ice on Greenland is melting at increasing rate. The north pole will be completely free of ice soon. It is beyond tragic that this is seen by states and large international corporations as "business opportunities", to exploit more oil and gas reserves.
