What do you think of the possibility that one or two casinos could be approved by New York State in close proximity to the Lower Hudson Valley?

I thought the law was for casinos out of the metropolitan area(upstate). Orange County shouldn't be considered upstate, it's the farthest that nypd and fdny members can live. Besides not being upstate, if the casinos are built that close to the city, it will, put the slots in Yonkers out of business and will diminish future profits of casinos coming to lower ny in 7 years. I believe Sullivan county needs it more than Orange County. I grew up visiting the resorts in the Catskills as a kid, and I believe revitalization of the area is beneficial to the state both financially and as a destination vacation spot so close to home. I guess I misunderstood the language in the amendment, but I definitely wouldn't have voted for the amendment if I knew they would be placing casinos in Orange County.
