I'd have loved to go when I was 20, and new 21 year old hubby probably would have loved it too...BUT , I would have wanted to return to have a family!

I have a M.A. in English Lit, specializing in 18th century literature. A friend once told me I was born 200 years too late and 3000 miles from home, and I think she's right. I'd go back in a heartbeat!!

I'm 76, I remember visiting my grandparents who lived in a way not too different from the 18th century. Their house had no electricity or running water (other than the pump) although those things did exist in cities and larger towns. So I feel like I've BTDT, and at my age, I like my comforts.
