How do you behave vis a vis reclining seats in planes? (Assume this is a daytime 3-hour flight.)

If I wish to recline, I will recline. I will hold my ground, politely, even if the person behind me objects.

If I wish to recline, I will recline. But if the person behind me then objects, I would probably relent.

I would ask the person behind me for permission before I even tried to recline.

I would not try to recline.
