Do You Think High-Fence Hunting Is Ethical?

If the fence was 20'x20' I dont believe any hunter would claim it is ethical. So I guess it's a matter of how large is the fence area. I don't hunt fenced areas but if I did a 160 pope and young wouldn't mean as much to me as the same deer on open range.

I hunted a high fence in MI. And it was as tuff a hunt as hunting over a food plot in any state. And you shot the deer you wanted to shoot. I have been on guided hunts and there about the same. All the work and scouting are done for you.

I hunt both high fence and open land. Of the many high fence ranches I've hunted, I find the game to be more skittish than the open land. Only one HF ranch I hunted was like shooting cattle, I left without taking any game. As with all things, most are good, the few that are not get all the press. Be careful how you judge, there are hunters and there are shooters, don't let the few bad people control you.

Hunting inside a fence? HOW ABOUT SHOOTING inside of a fence. Domestic wild animals should never be fenced. Those imported ones, Ngali, wildebeest etc. as seen in Texas, of course a fence is necessary. But fenced White tail, hogs, or what ever, no way.

I live in Texas, but I deer hunt with my son's and grandson every year. Texas is mostly privately owned so
drenched hunting is a norm making it difficult for the average person to afford to pay for leases or canned hunts. I personally think hunting should be fair chase and not pay to hunt. It will sooner or later stop hunting as it is support to be.

Farmers and ranchers that get tax breaks should not charge fees to hunt on there property.....

I never thought I would support high fence hunting until I became limited in my ability to hunt after 3 spinal surgeries and with the aftermath being irreversible, there is a place for it, in my youth I would never have thought to hunt a corn field for deer, this last fall a cousin allowed me to hunt his farm, the days of going to the top of the mountain are done for me, I hope people would not judge me as an unethical hunter as I can't do what I used to.
