I agree, the word "always" influenced me to vote "no" and I'm a CIO. I normally approach all webinars and presentations with some level of skepticism. There's usually a story (or stories) behind what is being delivered that is not told. I don't attribute it necessarily to purposeful misrepresentation and lying.

Neither a shill nor lying. However, I'm sure that CIOs like anyone who is posting public comment, will put the best possible spin on themselves and their organizations. The use of the word "always" in the question also influences the answer. Any savvy test taker knows that No is the correct answer when the question contains the word always....

From the results, I assume most think a CIO is a shill for a vendor or is lying? As a CIO I find that pretty depressing. Good thing I won't be one in a month.
