In our area of southwest PA ,we have seen more deer in our areas In recent years, more corn and soybeans has been planted and harvested, More land has been reclaimed around vacant farms and in suburban- rural areas.
As a result, less deer are harvested due to more homes being in those areas. More areas have grown up ini brush and more ground has been posted for hunting.
As a result , the deer herd has grown. Deer can be spotted at night and go into the brush areas at day time. Much multra flora rose is available for cover and much ground is timbered out.The only to get deer out is drives and most- people want to set-as a result-the deer population has increased.

What I have found is that if you hunt on what might be considered "marginal" land you are not going to see a darn thing. I know guys with great property and they don't report any change at all in numbers or quality. As the deer numbers drop (are forcibly driven down) the deer that are left can and do concentrate on just the best land. Competition is so low they can just stay there.

Now that either means the best food/cover/water availability land or simply the land with the lowest hunter pressure in comparison to what food/cover/water is available there. The land I can access is marginal, and we run cameras 24/7/365 except Feb, Mar, and Apr. So I can say with confidence that it is not just less deer seen during the hunt, there are actually less deer on all our cameras day and night.

We are seeing more deer here in Alabam. We can shoot a doe every day of the season, but that does not mean you have to shoot one. I think if hunters would use commons sense and not shoot a deer every time they go hunting they would not have a problem seeing deer. On our hunting lease we went two years and did not shoot a single buck, so the next year we killed 3 mature bucks. Just use common sense and shoot only
    what you can use.

there are definitely fever deer here in southern Illinois. I live in the country in southern Illinois and am used to seeing 10 to 15 or more deer every evening. Not so during the past two years, we're lucky to see 3 to 5 deer every week.
