Absolutely! Tuck your pants into your socks, wear closed-toe shoes, tie your hair back, wear a hat, avoid tall grass and walking off wooded trails. Tick checks once you're indoors, shower as soon as you can. If you get bitten - see your Doctor ASAP!! Save the tick if possible, take a picture, remember the details - get it Identified. Some ticks are more harmful than others. Prophylaxis treatment can make a world of difference. 1. PREVENT bites from occuring. 2. ID Tick, talk with your Doctor. 3. Keep track of any unusual symptoms! 4. See a Infectious Disease Specialist if your symptoms worsen. 5. Consider ways of reducing their population #'s, with tick traps! 6. Tick checks on your pets will help prevent your furry friend from bringing ticks back into your home!

** Remember: Ticks are everywhere in the HV!! From your average park, to your backyard, to the woods - they're roaming little devils. They don't stick to just the Wild anymore!

My prior dog got Lyme Disease and what they now call Anaplasmosis A LOT. My vet was wonderful and he was successfully treated each time. When he died, his numbers were down to zero which were incredible.

This is tick heaven. Such a nice place to live. No mudslides, avalanches, brush fires, destructive earthquakes and/or hurricanes, locusts, droughts, etc.

Alas, the ticks just keep on coming.
