IBM is like a cork bobbing in the sea. It once had arms and legs, but as each weakened it would be chopped off instead of strengthened. Now all the arms and legs are gone and there is nothing left to swim with; its at the mercy of the sharks.

As a former employee of that company I can tell you that they are again top heavy with management. All the right people who did right by the company have all been pushed out or laid off. It is sad to note that if while I was working at IBM if I didn't 'produce' or 'achieve' or 'over achieve' on my Personal Business Commitments (PBCs) I would have been booted. I am sorry to see that nobody has considered that with the present CEO. While I remember her to be very capable and able, and because nothing has really appeared under her guise, such as a vision or direction, that another CEO would have been replaced by now. I wish her all the best. I'm glad I left when I did. When I first joined the company in 1980 I thought I had a career path and a carreer opportunity. By the time I left it have evolved to a job opportunity, then an employment opportunity and then finally I felt like was doing time for a crime that I had never committed. IBM's better days are behind it. Not in front of it. The company is too large and sprawling. Most of its competition is small and nimble. Good luck!

IBM is like a star that has reached the end of it's life. It's burned all it's hydrogen, now is using mostly helium and is about to shrink to nothing. It's either burned or jettisoned it's fuel and is living on it's reserves. There are much better companies than IBM. I don't now anything IBM does well. (Well, they've been laying off their staff for 23 years now, I guess they are good at that )

IBM's revenue will NOT increase because no one is buying what "Big Blew" has to sell! Their "Cloud" is merely fog, and their "Internet Of Things" is a gimmick to compile a bunch of useless data and try to persuade customers that they need it. Firing more workers is their only means of reducing expenses, but it won't increase their revenue.
