I do think that they can make it because I know that they worked so hard and even tho they're from Guam doesn't mean that they have to chance of winning

Far fetched? Maybe.... Impossible? NO! Guam in the past had lost almost all its games outside the chain of islands by 10 to 20 plus goals. To beat great teams from far away countries is the first step. Consistency is key. HOPE! FAITH! PERSEVERANCE! #BIBAMATÃ…O

For now,no. Matao will not qualify. They are not professional athletes. But good luck. Good to know Guam sports is growing.

no i dont think so because tbh guam has honestly no chance. i wouldnt be suprised if they didnt make it. World cup is only for professionals and when i said professional i didnt picture the matao team. no.

Guam has had a good start to the World Cup qualifying process, but it's a long road. They would have to win the group to advance to the next round OR be one of the top four second place teams. Assuming they advance then they would be in one of two groups with six teams in each group. They would have to finish in the top two of their group to guarantee a spot or they may have to win a playoff. I really hope they advance that far but it is doubtful. After looking at the group though I think they can make a run at second but that is an outside shot at best.

It's about time that a team from Guam is showing promising results in the world of professional sports. Now what Guam needs to improve is to make soccer a full time job with pay for the players so they can train all year. Age limitation is a must..18 to 35. We'll see better results and be able to really place Guam among the world professionals. Guam should invest.

^Agreed Quality Football Club...our national team's mindset has slowly evolved from hunker down and don't let them score more than 10 goals, to attack and WIN the game!!! Mindset and mentality change slowly over time and this new mentality brought out by the Gaffer has huge ramifications for our youth teams and future...imagine all those kids watching in the stands as our Men's team WON not one, but two games in a World Cup Qualifier! The seed has been planted and the idea is ingrained..."I could be wearing that jersey one day and we CAN WIN!"

Dream Big Guam and don't let other people's "Reallstic" opinions hold you back...BIBA Guahan!!!
