Honestly I don't even know what people in the government are coming to be. Why don't you government officials quit being hypocrites and know that as an 18 year old you are free to do as you please by of course obiding by the law. I honestly feel as of my rights are being violated as an adult and I think so are many others!!!!

Grow some balls and ban it for everyone. If its bad for a young adult why is it ok of an older adult? Stop the political B.S. Just make a Bill to make everyone under 21 to still be minors why screw them over and make them think they are some one when you think they are crap. we are talking about people that screw up and they get the full punishiment of the law. people that are old enough to fight and die for all of us. People that are old enough to vote but but too stupid to make life choices. get off your high horse and let these adults be adults.

WHO F'N CARES. NOTHIING BEETER TO DO THAN WASTE TAX PAYERS MONEY ON BILLS THAT DON'T MAKE SENSE. IF YOU ALL AGREED TO GAY MARRIAGE BECAUSE LOVE DOES NOT DISCRIMINATE, THEN LEAVE THE LOVE OF SMOKING ALONE AND DO NOT DISCRIMINATE SMOKERS CUZ THEY LOVE TO SMOKE. SAME F'N THING. GEEZ. TIME FOR LEADERSHIP CHANGE.

Yes, yes, raise it to 21!

The government should not legislate acts or activities that punishes individuals if such acts or activities does not endanger the lives of others. I can understand alcohol use endangering the lives of others but not tobacco use. If a person smokes himself/herself to death, so be it. Government should go after the root of the problem and do its job of protecting the populace.

Prohibition encourages use. That's how the human mind works. Government should legislate the manufacturers instead of the consumers/victims of a product that kills. Forget the $ millions collected in tax every year. "Build it and we will come". Manufacture it and we will use it, good or bad. "We have met the enemy, and it is US".

The should "jive". If 18 year old individuals are adult enough to vote and enlist in the military, then why can't they be adult enough to smoke tobacco or consume alcohol? Are they good enough to protect our country by putting their life on the line, but not good enough to be fully treated as an adult?

why should smoking jive with being able to go to war?
it's not like military members under the age of 21 can drink.

They're raising the age to smoke cigs to 21 but they can be sent to warr at 18? Unfair.it should jive.
