With the relocation of the US marines and their families to Guam in mind, perhaps it's opportune time for the Federal government to build its own power plants to service its military bases, facilities, families and dependents. This idea would free up a significant amount of power demand which might prevent future load shedding and power outage. Generate much needed cash by selling GPA to private investors for better service and to operate and maintain Guam's power plants more efficiently. Hafa Adai Guam.

Load shedding has started and probably will become the norm until GPA gets Cabras repaired and running , I've been experiencing some black outs and I think I just have to get used to it . I truly hope they have a plan and it's being implemented as of present time , because I've heard from friends who work there , crew can't go inside for safety reasons and it will take time to assess the damage fully , then must decide to tear it all down or repair it . Doesn't seem like it's gonna be fixed anytime soon but I pray I'm wrong.

The fact GPA wasn't prepared for the worst case scenario is a reflection of the whole of Gov Guam , they are quick to solve payroll problems , pay raise request and retro payments but a back up plan for our basic infrastructure is pretty much at the back of the priority list .
GWA can't provide regular service to the customers who live down south , GPA doesn't have a back up generator or an emergency plan prepared for such an occasion as this is silly and pathetic . We prepare for typhoons like there is no tomorrow but when the basic services shuts down because of a catastrophic event like what occurred at Cabras Gov Guam is hanging on a noose hoping no one kicks the chair from under them .
Gov Guam has borrowed money to its max limit , how do they intend to purchase new generators and a new building ? Will the insurance company cover a 100% of the bill ? I doubt it . Hey why don't you spend more money on pet projects instead ? LOL ! While we the public are forced to suffer and sacrifice for Gov Guam's ineptness they still receive their huge pay checks . OOG !

Borrow more to make money. Make the rich richer? Lease the land build with government funds sell it back to us and charge them for it. Were digging deeoer. Give them the hammer. Take a swing.
