Gem on the Genesee has a wonderful ring to it! There is a lot that could be done with that. The Genesee goes right through the heart of Rochester. Rochester was built around the Genesee. And it is certainly the main City that is on the entire length of the Genesee.

"Rochester: Gem on the Genesee"---I could see different logos for this one---
a stylized gem or, even better, a stylized skyline of the city seen through a (Bausch and Lomb) jewelers' loupe . . .

Not a good setup for a poll! Where's "none of these" and "other-write in!!" The double entendre you cast out is the best: "Rochester: We Weather it Better." Covers its rural/industrial/Kodak/progressive/etc. past, present and future in every sphere of life AND its variable weather, which it shares with the region anyway. Rochester has done better than nearby big cities, too.

I forgot to email. I would have told you these 2:
    Rochester: New York's Food Capital
    Rochester: New York's Festival Capital

Nobody in this state does either better than we do.

I like Historically Progressive, even though it may not apply to the present.

How about "Rochester: One of everything and no lines"

I voted for "Rochester, Historically Progressive", but I still prefer " I'd Rather be in Rochester". How about "I'd Rather be in Rochester: A Historically Progessive City!"

I still keep my "I'd rather be in Rochester" stick-on attached to the sun visor of my car. That said it all.
A suggested edit to "Rochester ROCs!"
