Utley did a dirty slide! Utley been a dirty player as a Phillie now a dirty player with the Dodgers. He had no intention of sliding he wanted to take Reuben out!!!! The umpires should be held accountable for that play for calling him safe when he never made an attempt to touch the plate. Last time I knew you must touch the plate to be consider safe. He did not! Glad Joe Torre issues a suspension but he shouldn't be able to appeal this one and be able to play until it's heard. What could is the suspension if there isn't a game to be suspended from!

He never slid. He went to his knees as hit Tejada. It should have been called a double play. The umpiring has been atrocious this year and in the playoffs. The strike zone has been exceptionally bad. The cardinal sin of an umpire is being a reason one team wins or loses and I've seen way too much this year. I am not a Mets fan but the Mets should have been ahead 2-1 after 7 innings last night. Make the umpires accountable. When they have a bad day at work they need to be accountable just like the rest of the world!!!!

Dirty slide by a "dirty player"! A player should NOT be awarded a Base, if he didn't touch the Base legally in the first place! FACT: If a Player hits a ball out of the Park and misses a Base going around the Bases, he can be called "OUT" on Appeal! Why doesn't that apply here?

so upsetting to see baseball played so brutally. even if the Mets were to win the WS, this dirty move tonight has tarnished my perception of the game i love. some bloviating maroons are accusing Mets fans of "complaining". i'm a Yankees and Rangers fan. i'm rootin for the city of NY. my anger isnt about the win or the lose. its about the intregrity of the game!!! Tejada was purposely & violently targeted. now he's injured & cant play!!!!!! UNNECESSARY!
    THIS ISNT FOOTBALL!!!!
i dont wanna see baseball the things i dislike about football.
