Yes!...It is needed PROVIDED it goes to the repairs and not to the ADMINISTRATOR's Credit Card meals. Where the did this type of action become acceptable? With a GovGuam Credit Card? You are kidding. All for the increase but not for the Credit Card abuse. He should pay back just like others who were prosecuted in the past had to do.
I agree with Island that GMH should close temporarily and take care of some minor and major problems. For example, the elevators. There are only 2 operating (I believe it's been a year already) which are used by staff, visitors, patients. Patients are being wheeled up/down for surgeries, x-rays (SICK PEOPLE), new babies, visitors, maintenance staff and their TRASH BINS, FOOD CARTS (yes, with food in them). They should also take time to CLEAN the floors and SCRAPE OFF the DIRT, GRIME, MUCK, SCUM, AND WHATEVER FILTH accumulated over the years. Or they should fire their maintenance people. It's been a week since a relative has been admitted and the same trash still lingers in the room.
Concerning the Guam man punching the tourist. The Guam man is not a man from Guam. He's like a tourist just passing through and in meantime waiting on Uncle Sam to pay up what he was promised. Free entrance to any U.S. state/territory, free medical treatment, free food, free housing, free whatever. Maybe Uncle Sam also promised these free loaders a free island, meaning Guam!!!
GMH needs to do a better job collecting debts , most importantly needs to shut down temporarily and renovate/reconstruct their building to be more energy efficient and include solar technology to help lower the cost of operations . We have the new hospital to cover Guam until the reconstruction is done. Oh by the way , Guam made the Yahoo news regarding the local man punching a tourist . Lol ! Pathetic .
