I have been going to Mulligan's and it's progeny and reincarnation (Blind Pigs Pub, Gildernew's, and Mulligan's, again), since 1976, and became a regular in the mid-1990's. Mulligan's was a traditional Irish pub, as good as any that I have experienced in Ireland. The regulars were like family, and strangers and newbies were always welcome to share the craic. To many of us, Mulligan's was an extension of our homes, where we shared joy and grief; argued politics, religion, and world affairs; watched sports and Jeopardy; listened to great music; and drank the best pour of Guinness on this side of the Atlantic. To Margaret Ann, Teresa Marie, Erina, Sinead, Mary Agnus, John Frances, Tommy, and and all the wonderful people I met at Mulligan's over the years:

    Éirí an bóthar leat,
Go raibh an ghaoth go brách ag do chúl,
Go dtaitní an ghrian go bog bláth ar do chlár éadain,
Go dtite an bháisteach go mín ar do ghoirt,
Agus go gcasfar le chéile sinn arís,
Go dtuga Dia a shealbhú tú
    I dtearmann a lámh.

Started going to Mulligan's/Guildernews my junior year of H.S. back in 1986. Pretty much grew up with all my buddies and older brother Steven there. Had some of the best times of my life there. This bar/pub was a Ketcham Indians hangout for a decade or more. We ruled the roost and I am saddened to see it go. Met my wife Kerrianne there almost over 23 years ago. Thats how long this place has been an institution in the Pok area. If the walls could only talk, they could tell some incredible stories. My friends and I used to ice skate on the Wapp. creek up to drink w/ all uor buddies here all the time. Best bar for many years and it will live on in the memories of many.
So for Bone, Boomer, Larry "lovelegs" H., Crimedog, Gunns, Jeff G, Lisa my sis, Pooky, Butts, Chris, Blackler, Shitlips, Gooch, M. Gibbons, Booger, Willie, Blowie, The Long Bros, Joey G, and the countless others I met and hanged with for a good portion of my life. Everytime I go by here I will remember and cherish the memories and times.
    Peace- Hambone

An Irish blessing that reminds me of my days spent at my favorite pub. Mulligan's, we shall never forget ye!

    Walls for the wind,
And a roof for the rain,
And drinks beside the fire --
    Laughter to cheer you
And those you love near you,
And all that your heart may desire!
