The salary increments, including what was given government wide, is clear evidence that the government doesn't have the will to live within it's means. That election ploy from 2014, will always remind us why politics is not about public service, but a game of who will win. Maybe if we stop treating elected officials as celebrities, or providing the red carpet at events, or type the words honorable next to their names, that they will realize they are public servants and not VIP's. The people created this mess, and only the people can end it. Remember, the game is about winning, which essentially is getting elected. Let's end this game and stop electing based on who attended your child's birthday party, gave your co-worker a resolution for their retirement, or who cut a ribbon or spoke at last nights induction ceremony. Let's vote on smart people who we don't see out there campaigning, but those willing to ask the tough questions. BJ Cruz, Mike San Nicolas, Jimmy Espaldon, Frank Blas, are some of these options.

We have only ourselves to blame. Why? Because we keep re-electing the same dumbasses into office every two years. Oh sure, a bunch will talk the talk, but how many walk the walk? I personally will not vote for an incumbent unless they can prove to me that they are worth my vote. Right now, its 0 for them, 15 for me. They don't have the testicular fortitude to make hard decisions, like Medicinal Marijuana, let the people decide. They why the hell do we need them? I'm also concerned that the new "candidates" that are seeking office are only doing it for the money. These people need to be reminded that its "Public Service," not "Public Serve Us." How the hell can BJ Cruz sit there and tear people apart about budgets, when he voted to keep his $85K a year salary? How dare the Governor tell us that we must raise taxes and bull crap like that when he is the one that put us in this mess in the firs place? Why doesn't he wave his magic wand and make money appear for GMH like he did for FESTPAC? Or is he out of magic fairy dust?

Feds are busting the little vendor at the flea market for selling a few LV bags that are fakes. They are spending energy on someone who had some scheme on how to make additional money off buy me drink entertainers he brought from the PI. Not saying these crimes should be forgiven, but do you really spend your resources and time on such petty crimes, when it's so obvious that millions in white collar criminal activity seems to be taken place under our noses. I am concerned as to what is going on, rather the lack of when it comes to these questionable acts of deception in our community, and taxpayer dollars bring stuffed into select pockets, while the community gets shafted with poor services.

I don't understand why our elected officials gave themselves a raise when they can't even balance GovGuam's Budget. Let alone have the money to pay the extra salaries. Our elected officials are selfish and not thinking about the entire island of Guam. They are driving Guam to the ground and ultimately it will be our children suffering. They need to be voted out. The Governor purchased Tiyan High School for $210 million? Someone needs to be investigated because obviously someone is pocketing money for such a stupid decision.

The ability to stuff their pockets is outstanding but to manage and stay in budget is non existent . Amazing no one goes to jail for defrauding the general public. Thanks Gov Guam ! Lol !
