The only solution left is to consolidate all GovGu-run bus/mass transit operation, then Privatize it, GovGu needs to get out of any operational function that can be provided by private companies.

The government needs to do a much better job on prioritizing mass transit systems on Guam. A good example is to look at successful mass transits in the states. It would clearly give Guam a better looking picture of how the mass transit systems run successfully.

The main problem with the Guam mass transit situation is LOW PERFORMANCE by the service provider, KLOPPENBURG ENTERPRISES!

The reason why PERFORMANCE IS SO DAMN LOW is because KLOPPENBURG has a MONOPOLY of Guam's mass transit system.

Since KLOPPENBURG is the only company that has a bus fleet big enough to run the Guam mass transit system they are the only ones that bid to run the Guam mass transit system.

Being the only bidder, they naturally win the bid.

Does KLOPPENBURG do a good job? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

KLOPPENBURG DOES A TERRIBLE JOB OF OPERATING GUAM'S MASS TRANSIT SYSTEM!

If KLOPPENBURG ENTERPRISES operated a mass transit bus system in the states the way they operate Guam's mass transit bus system they would of been fired.

But here in Guam KLOPPENBURG has a MONOPOLY so they still get to run the Guam mass transit system and we, the public, continue to suffer due to KLOPPENBURG'S CRAPPY AND UNACCEPTABLE LEVEL OF SERVICE.

KLOPPENBURG ENTERPRISES is run by the KLOPPENBURG family.

The company was founded by EARL KLOPPENBURG and he passed away a long time ago and so sons BRUCE, BRAD and TRAVIS run the company now.

I say this to you BRUCE, BRAD and TRAVIS KLOPPENBURG:

YOUR DAD WOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOU GUYS FOR DESTROYING YOUR FAMILY'S REPUTATION AND RUINING THE FAMILY NAME!

Nowadays when people hear the name "KLOPPENBURG" they say to themselves:

"What a bunch of LOSERS! The KLOPPENBURGS are to blame for Guam's shi**y mass transit system!"

EARL KLOPPENBURG IS ROLLING IN HIS GRAVE!

SHAME ON THE KLOPPENBURG FAMILY FOR DOING A HORRIBLE JOB OF OPERATING GUAM'S MASS
    TRANSIT SYSTEM!

GUAM HAS A SHI**Y MASS TRANSIT SYSTEM BECAUSE OF THE KLOPPENBURG FAMILY!

SHAME ON THE KLOPPENBURG FAMILY FOR RIPPING OFF THE PEOPLE OF GUAM!

Check out this story from today's Pacific Daily News:

Mass Transit Riders Left in the Dark
    http://www.guampdn.com/story/news/2016/10/02/mass-transit-riders-left-dark/91154450/

It has been almost an entire year since the new bus transit station opened and still there is no lighting!

When the station first opened the lighting problem was immediately raised and here we are almost a year later with no solution.

What's up with the leadership of the Guam Regional Transit Authority?

Had GRTA executive manager Enrique Agustin done his job and prepared accordingly there would of been lighting since day one.

Where was the preparation? Why is there still no lighting almost a year later?

GRTA executive manager Enrique Agustin needs to do his job or get out.

Mass transit ? We have a public transportation system here ? Lol... thanks Gov Guam

  • Guislandr - 7 years ago

Combine the Public Transit and school bus system. Separating the two is a waste of resources. Purchase new buses that have well built ventilation and plastic rather than cloth seating. Be sure seating lines perimeter of the bus unlike school buses. Make sure handles are availablefor people to hold onto while standing. Be sure there are policies in place that prevent people who are sick or have poor hygeine from entering the bus because it is a health hazard. Have buses arrive at least once every hour. These implementations should help better the oublic transit system allowing people without transportation to finally seek emploment and or attend to their childrens educational needs.

Mass Transit is never given priority and you hear nothing but lame excuses from GovGuam DPW and the Hagatna Mayor.
I used to be a resident of Hagatna and when I Bring up issues to Mayor John Cruz, His only answer is " That is not under my jurisdiction it falls under DPW or Parks and Rec.
Dude ! Hagatna village is mostly under the jurisdiction of a GovGuam agency...
Damn ! Mayor John Cruz you're just in there for the money aren't you ? and Your cockfighting roosters are more important to you !
Hagatna village should be combined with Agana Heights, there is no need for a Mayor in Hagatna.

Mass transit needs to move out off some area's on main road, l have seen sudden stop's and almost caused and accident. The most part l don't like about the mass transit is the driver's (some), they need to follow the speed limit and turn signal. l followed a mass transit bus to the south, driver was doing 55 - 60 with passenger's in a 35 mile zone. Wake up driver's it's not a tour bus.
