Fernandez should of never been fired...they fire Fernandez then hire Mesa after he was also part of trying to fire Fernandez and Mesa was also the one who was involved with the same student that made false accusations against Fernandez. MESA watched her change in his office. What's worse a text message or actually seeing the student change in your office. They should treat everyone fairly. Mesa needs to be fired. I am not comfortable knowing he's at the position he's in.
The 6 board members should be fired. Accusations with no findings is unjustifiable. He has done a lot for education. Sad thing is, you let an immature student and her parents bribe their way in. Mr. Fernandez is a highly educated professional and I hope he brings those board members down to the dirt...

Seems to me the DOE board is covering their ass for their incompetence when the initial allegation was reported. So they decided it's best to sacrifice the superintendent, keep the report sealed for as long as possible so their asses won't be on the line.
This is very disappointing!!! They terminated an innocent guy, but yet they can't reveal to the public what he did wrong.. I believe all 6 members who terminated Jon should be fired especially the Chair Women because she failed to take proper actions on time when all this had arise. And for Nerissa Underwood she should be ashamed of herself for letting this happened.. Vote her out.
I don't agree because I personally think it was all a personal attack against him. With the old folks like Lou San Nicolas Ken chargualaf they hate him. If they fired him because of the accusations against him why not fire the Board as well since they didn't do their job.
Dr. Fernandez is a good man. I worked with him for almost 5 years. He has always been honest and very passionate in everything he does. I also know Ken Chargualaf. I was a very young student at the time and he was a teacher. He was always chasing the young girls. I avoided him because he made me uncomfortable. If he wasn't flirting with the young girls...he would be after the pretty teachers or aides. I wonder now, how he could sit there and judge Dr. Fernandez. As for Mrs. Tainatongo...I use to respect her...now I absolutely lost every ounce of it! You all robbed the children of Guam! I hope you can live with yourselves.
Like my grandmother use to say college with no knowledge this board proves that saying so well we need to get rid of them especially the fantastic four who apparently have no idea what their doing or better yet they should step down and just leave the island before they contaminate the gene pool with their x-men DNA of IDIOT powers.

I strongly disagree with the board's decision. He wasn't even proven guilty. As for the girl Alana that claims she was touched, she's trouble ever since. That girl at the age of 13 was in my house while my husband was sleeping and I was surprise to see her on my couch in the dark so I had my son chase her home. As for the parents, they knew she was there and just let her go to where ever she wanted to be. Imagine the time was so late. She is the type that is trouble! So all I have to say to the board is.. You have made a big mistake in terminating a good hard working man for the system. I guess Ken wants his job so desperately! As for the comment from wake up.. That is all true about Ken and he got away with it.. What a JOKER.. Reinstate Mr. Fernandez..He's doing a great job..Prayers to you Mr. Fernandez..
I think that the board of education is full of shit! They probably envy Jon Fernandez so they saw him as a threat and needed to get rid of him. The board of education can eat shit! I wont be surprised if Jon files suit against the board due to lack of answers as to WHY they terminated him.

They should be booted out and to include Nerissa Underwood for screwing up the finances with DOE. She doesn't belong at the Legislature either. How could she sit there and slander Jon Fernandez when all he did was do everything in his knowledge to fix her mess with DOE? Shame on you Underwood. The fact that 3 board members opposed terminating his contract means Mr. Fernandez did nothing wrong! This student accused him of "butt rubbing" at a school event where there were hundreds of people around, but yet she not feel uncomfortable stripping her clothes in Mr. Mesa's office?!..wtf!...girl didn't you think that there might be hidden cameras around! Where was your brain?. Or was Mesa present in the office?...Mr. Mesa should be investigated...AGAIN!...Sen. Underwood are you going to do something about that!...i think that this whole scheme was created to get rid of Fernandez because they did not get what they wanted.

If you seriously want Superintendent Jon Fernandez back, then you would need to VOTE OUT Nerissa Underwood & the 6 Board Members who have been working to get rid of him. They didn't even give him a chance to defend himself before the board. Senator Underwood is also just jealous of Fernandez success to fix the issues she caused in DOE. Get her out please.

The results of the investigation had nothing to do with the decision the board made. This was politically motivated. Chargualaf, Tainatongo,and San Nicolas are the key players in all of this. Guess who will be applying for superintendent ? I would not be surprised if Chargualaf submits his application this morning. Sad,but true.

You are more guilty then the John Hernandez, sex relations with a student at the age of 17......a teacher you are sick. 30yrs ago l work at lnarajan High School, that is how l knew you. No one can change the course of what has happened, stateside u.s. mainland you hear and see the publicity of similar cases or complaints. Let justice take its course to prove right from wrong, innocent or guilty, plaintiff and defendant, take it to court- due process

The question should be " did he or did he not touch a student on the buttocks ? ". The text doesn't prove crap , it's only an assumption made by the person who reported it .. John Fernandez was doing a fantastic job in DOE , better than the previous two superintendent.. Underwood bankrupt DOE finances with no progress at all to show for it .. the crippled guy was totally incompetent .. Lol .. the only guy who had a handle on it was and is John Fernandez and now he is gone .. I fear for our public school system .. thanks Gov Guam ? I still don't know the answer .
