Will Brewers shortstop Orlando Arcia hit above .240 this season?

    Wow, looks like folks aren't too optimistic about Arcia's hitting ability. He's shown enough in the minors to think he can hit over .240, but he might still struggle for awhile to do it. He may never be a .300 -type hitter, but he should be respectable.

    I grew up in Baltimore, so love the reference. Lawrence is correct though in that with baseball today, you have to hit to stick. I do think Arcia will come around and should get plenty of opportunity to do such.

    if he doesn't, the experiement with him has failed, no matter how well he fields, and time to get rid of him and move on. the days of Mark Belanger of the '70s championship Orioles playing SS and hitting .200 is gone, and the Crew surely doesn't have the 4 Cy Young starters that the O's hadthat allowed that hitting weakness at short.
