If it was part of the overall treatment plan. I am taking a few medications for the rest of my life and keep asking the doctor if it can be reduced. If he could see my physical activity and use that as part of my overall health plan it would be great.

I think the presumption of the question included efficacy.
If I don't need a med, I'd rather not take a med. Side effects can be something we don't fully understand until later.
Maybe clarify for respondents that "if an App had equal efficacy, would you be happy if your doc prescribed an App instead of a med?"

Not that I want to take medications with no end point in site, I don’t want a medical app only. I might try the app to see if I am compliant and that it seems to provide benefits to me and my doctor.
