How can you have a list without Drew Alleman...made the winning kick for the Rams first state championship...went on to kick at LSU in the SEC...beat Alabama in overtime...not many on this list have done it all with the class Drew has...some of these players never finished HS let alone college and others have arrest records longer than this page!!!

I think Alley B deserves this award.. he had back to back 2,000 yards in a season. First and ONLY player to receive 1st team All-American at Acadiana

With a football tradition with the success that Acadiana’s had, how can you pick one player? The first name on the list should’ve been Warren Trahan, Acadiana’s first dominant defensive end. About 10 years ago I met a teammate of Warren’s from Texas A&M, where Warren was also defensive captain his senior year. He said that Warren was the best defensive player he ever played with or against.

I have seen everyone on the list play with the exception of the first two. TJ was the real deal. Who hoes to Texas A&M and the first three kick offs you touch you score. He played with my older brother and they went undefeated their senior year and TJ was legit. Chris Mouton would make you miss in a phone booth, Ally could run over or away from you, Cutrea was an animal, manchild, total beast, Micah I coached in middle school and probably the pound for pound runner on the list, but TJ was really something special.

i watched Ronald play all through high school and cant remember anyone catching a TD on him. 23 Interceptions in 3 years is a ridiculous stat that’ll never be broken at Acadiana

  • paul pilette - 6 years ago

23 interpcetions back to back champion played hurt plenty of games his numbers dont lie hands down the best db of all time at acadiana , ronald broussard

Position wise I know severally players have excelled at most of those position being represented in this pole. Ecept 1. It is said defense wins games. Every coach can and would would take a Warren Trahan first pick any day of the week. Not only a great football player but agreat person as well.

    Troy jones the best ever

  • Debbie Drever - 6 years ago

Warren Trahan is the best at high school and college, and now in 2018 he is still coaching football with his youngest son at Ithaca College in New York.

Was fortunate enough to watch most of these guys play, Chris Mouton was special, would’ve loved to see him go to the next level, as good of a high school player as I’ve seen

  • Brandon Beasley - 6 years ago

Old school football little bit different than it was today !!! Just going off what i heard not what i saw, They said he was the best tight end to play the game!!

  • Britt Latiolais - 6 years ago

I have seen them all! There are so many not on this list . Jimmy Landry QB 1969-71. Justin Robinson LB 1992-94 Corey Robinson RB 1992-94 the list is endless. Junius was special we came out of Judice together.

  • Mike Breaux - 6 years ago

I played with Junius both at Acadiana and LSU and he is still the best RB with Ally Broussard a close 2nd. Ally performed much better in college.
