Not old enough to have seen some of the guys listed play. But certainly the names most mentioned as all time OC greats were Al Martin,Stevie Dupuis and Hatch.
Now, I did get to watch Robichaux play. And when he was on the field, it was something special. He was blessed with football instincts and talent. Friday night OC football ‘79-‘81 was a lot of fun.
Not taking anything away from any of the other players listed and I must give full disclosure. This comment is definitely biased because Vance is my younger brother.
i played with Eugene Robiceaux. What he didnt have in size, he made up in heart and a defensive genius. Led us to Regionals as the most dominating defense in 1985-86.

Robicheaux use to reduce opposing backs to sniveling little babies. I remember the time he play against us. He knocked our tackle out of the game and sacked our quarterback on the same play. Robicheaux came ready to play some football
