My family had an overgrown weeping cherry tree in our yard for years. Unfortunately a virus swept through the local ecosystem and wiped out many of the weeping cherries in the area, ours included. The dead tree was very tall and in danger of falling down against the side of our house.
Mike Eife came over at 6am on a Sunday with a chainsaw and a wheelbarrow. He expertly felled the threatening tree and cut it down into easy-to-manage pieces of firewood. He took the wheelbarrow and distributed it to all our neighbors, who Mike knew all loved bonfires. Then we washed up and made it to 9am church.
It really brought everyone on our block together. People who were at the time only acquaitances now had a shared appreciation for Mike Eife. That shared appreciation gave way to more frequent conversations about other important topics. Friendships blossomed. And my life is now that much more full because of it. Thank you, Mike! You deserve this.

Mike Eife is probably the best neighbor that turned into a brother that I never wanted. The kid is a top of the line athlete and gentleman. He also hates world hunger. I’m assuming these other guys are FOR world hunger. Are you really gonna vote for someone who’s FOR world hunger? I didn’t think so...
