We dont make decisions due to the fact that we have waited long. What 20 years of waiting we can wait even 50 or 100 but get what is justified and correct

  • Jimrise Onyango - 16 years ago

Yes... Kenyan have actually waited for so long for the document..

  • Ousa Okello - 16 years ago

My take is that Kenyans will do whatever politicians tell them to do. The people voting "YES" will do so because Kibaki and Raila said so while the people voting "NO" will do so because Ruto and Moi said so. That's the plain unvarnished truth. Why else would people, 80% of whom have not even SEEN the draft, let alone READ it, be commenting on what their vote would be? Before I vote I will read the document and compare it with the best out there i.e. then I will say how I will vote. But that's just me!

No. the abortion and k courts clauses to go first and while at it Recall clause to be included

  • Reuben Lenjo - 16 years ago

My Vote is yes.The abortion clause has been defined clearly and its limitation. The Kadhis court is in our current constitution and it has not affected me in any way as christian. The clergy should come out clearly on thier agenda.kenyans are educated and am sure they will make the right choice.

  • Alex Maina - 16 years ago

Very interesting. it seems you can also vote if you support the clergy on a new Kenyan site. you can follow the polls and discussions http://bit.ly/czec7g

  • Juliet Okoth - 16 years ago

  • David Otiato - 16 years ago

I'll strongly vote for YES. Later changes to come later by like we minded people when we enter the parliament next time and not the current politicians who serves there interests. Please let us support it for our on benefit.

  • Matendechere Kabalagala - 16 years ago

....I WON'T ALLOW abortion and AL SHABAAB COURTS TO BE IN THE KATIBA

  • Evans Gichobi - 16 years ago

why vote? Yes It's my right to, but tell me why It's important to vote for it? I can Vote only if. MP pays TAX. They shld have given us change to decide on whether they shld pay TAX or not. How can you increase your salaries if your Bosses don have the idea? With my VOTERS CARD am their Boss not their savant.

  • Jackline Davina - 16 years ago

  • Henry Kidiavai - 16 years ago

Yes, I will vote ndio. A journey of many miles starts with one step and sometimes not even sure whether the broken bridges, potholes and thugs will give you a break.

  • Vyonah Kanini - 16 years ago

    i will not attempt

  • Charles Kamonjo - 16 years ago

Yes yes, it is the best we can have.........a perfect one as some people think may never be.Lets vote this one.......New bloom shall always sweep clean.

  • Charles Opondo - 16 years ago

Granted, there are a number of things to disagree with in the draft as it currently is; after all, if 38 million Kenyans met to draft a constitution we would have ended up with 38 million different drafts! However this is an important first step in a long journey whose previous attempts have backfired spectacularly, and have been paid for in sweat and blood. Amendments can be made to refine the document in due course. We've come too far to let the perfect be the enemy of the good - let's pass this constitution.

@walter cast your vote in the polls above

  • Chedjou Waltr - 16 years ago

i will vote no because i do not agree with the abortion clause and also the composition of the family
my brother it is not about what clerics have or haven't done to you if the constitution is bad then it is bad, i have a feeling that you like others will vote yes because your member of parliament said yes to it becoz of their interests

  • Norbert Kihuha - 16 years ago

This is a yes document, made by sane people not motivated by fear of losing their seats or maintaining the status quo. Let us make a new Kenya, forget about the hypocrites calling themselves church leaders, they are the same people who welcome these thugs (politicians) into their churches as long as they can give a fat tithe- part of the loot from our hard earned tax revenue.... I hate this shite

  • Jacob Odada - 16 years ago

The fact that MP's were unable to touch it I will vote yes. And If churches were as powerful as they think Kenyans would not be one of the most corrupt countries in the world. Guys go to church yes but they dunda more. The people we should fear are dj's not pastors

  • Okechukwu TheDon - 16 years ago

@Paul - really interesting how his comments made some of us more determined that this document is good

  • Paul Msava - 16 years ago

I was not sure until moi opposed it, it is a good document b'cos it rubs the rich the wrong way.
