I don't think magpie ads are unethical. Well, it may become frustrating for the followers if the ads are spaced at close intervals. But i like this innovative concept. After all, who doesn't want to make bucks, that too coming in euros?
This is geared mainly at the new #magpie tweets. The advertising system is up front similar to adsense. So far community supports this as better than the infamous DM 'click here' ads and the Profile ads.

Maybe, depending on:
Number of ads vs number of quality tweets coming from one account
Quality/Type of ads
Whether ppl get a choice in types of ads they will display
probably more but right now too much nyquil in my body... :)
