Boycott, fairly harsh, for an artist merly stating a single opinion. Boycott means collectively organized group selectively against the tarnished one. Yes .You can have your opinion about the artist policatical statement. If you happen to share equal opinions with others great, but to actively organize a boycott maybe a tad harsh. It may take you to a legal issue you might not want.
Artist like to step out of bounds, it just part of who they are, to create and instilled thoughts of discussion and debate, not always but occasionally.
Good or bad the have brought up a point of view that has got attention that maybe need discussion.
When art becomes propaganda, then it’s no longer art, now is it!
I would think, and this is my own opinion. if you select who can and can’t be an artist because of thier their political opinion then you are interfering with their freedoms and human right of expression.
You can disagree, with it a state your opinions, by all means.
Politics and artists , hmmm. It sounds more like popoganda, than art.
No matter what, rest assured art and politics, make a interesting pair. Just depends on what’s your opinion. Just be careful obout it when it wearing its mask of decete, of propaganda
