It's my tax money so it's my business! I do not wish to financially participate in a new arena!

No closed door meetings!
-Liam, businesses are controlled by share holders and no major business decision is made without shareholder input. I am a share holder (tax payer) of the city of Calgary corporation and according to it's charter (the election act) I HAVE A DAMM SAY AS TO WHAT DEALS MY CORPORATION IS ENTERING INTO !!! these councilors who have no knowledge whatsoever of any corporate negotiations are not qualified to negtio8humdreds of millions of dollars on my behalf.

Absolutely not, they did this in Edmonton.
We all woke up one day and found out we are on the hook for 700 million dollars plus interest resulting in
thirty years of generational debt so 21 thousand well-off people can watch millionaires play hockey for their billionaire owners while expecting the tax payer to pay for it, tax payers that will never be able to afford to step into the place.

Definitely closed. Significant deals of business people are always behind closed doors. The 8 - 7 City Council should be the last one to know and only when a deal has been made.

And let’s leave Nenshi out of any and all negotiations.
Liam - 6 years ago
Absolutely, the negotiations, should they proceed once again, should be held outside of the public and media view, just like any other business deal negotiations. Especially if it helps to get a deal done and shovels in the ground ASAP!
