LIC IDBI deal is against the interest of policy holder and LIC. Recover corporate debt of IDBI and PSU Bank. Do not waive/ write off Corporate Debt.

It is not the solution to bringing down the stake to below 50 percent, effective measures should be taken by the govt to recover the NPA, infusing capital to the bank from lic won't solve problem rather govt should think for merger with other psb

Honour the assurance given by the former finance minister of india mr yashwant sinha on the floor of parliament in 2003 of retaining 51% of stakes all the time in IDBI bank.

Corporates looted banks, now govt supporting
for looting of lic indirectly. Govt is not able to recover public deposits which became NPA's and now allowing for public insurance premium to become NPA, which is life savings for public.

This is. A very bed idea of govt. Coz lic has already involve public hard money which govt want to putting to recover NPA of Idbi.
Phle nirav modi or Malay ko desh se bhaga do loan de kr fir jo paisa bach gya h ose lic k hatho bhi khatm Kara do .
Govt in 2 logo ko vaps bula to paa nahi rhe h oper se lic idbi ka merger krke apni glti chupane ki koshish kr rhe h. Bhut he bkwas idea hai ye lic idbi ka merger.

One of the worst desion by modi govt.
Due to there decision ...all the employees of IDBI bank will suffer..please avoid such move by this amateur govt

This is just an ill intention to privatise IDBI Bank. Why government is targetting this Bank? Many other psb,s have also npa problem, but they are united. Its easy for government to privatise IDBI Bank because of its weak union. I strongly oppose this move of government.

Mere getting a capital of 13000 crore will not solve the issue.. What plans after that .. Will it be sold to reliance or what??? Selling of stakes is not a solution rather strict policies must be made for recovery of npa. Npa is not the problem of only Idbi bank. It's affect can be clearly seen in other bank too.. Putting on stake insurer money for this deal won't solve the problem rather it will impact policy holder money in lic..so for solving the problem we have to really solve the problem not bypassing it.. As it happens in this deal.. I strongly feel this deal is nothing for both the lic and Idbi.

It's really a bad idea of Govt to sale stake of IDBI bank. Govt must focus on how to recover these corporate NPA.strict rules and laws must be implemented for Loan defaulters. Govt must not play with money of common people.

This is one of the worst decisions by present government. We all know who is pulling strings in the boards of LIC and IDBI and dont forget the regulators. IRDA has check point at 15% which is created to protect the insurer anD yet 51% is allowed when LIC is losing money by investing in other PSBs. One of its pet project that is Axis where it helds promoter status is getting diluted to pump in money into IDBI. How does it matter whether govt pumps that money or LIC does since either way its public money but main problem that is NPA remains unattended. This govt whiLe shouting at the rooftop that It is working for public is looking to shift its responsibility to LIC board so that if it fails its not govt which will have to answer. Stupidly LIC is part of this scam.

Recover corporate dues. Make some hard policy to recover money from wilful defaulter. Steam line the lending policy and close monitoring the PSU Banks. LiC IDBI deal not is not beneficial for LIC and its policy holders. It is anti people and anti social movement of Govt.

The Govt is so reluctant for recovery of corporate NPA. This is attempt to wash out NPA from public money .

  • Arun kumar - 6 years ago

Govt will hold maximum 52% stake in idbi and rest are sold out to LIC & other investors because privatisation is not a solution. In india the success rate of pvt banks are not so good.

Govt is acting like a dictator....

  • Dinesh - 6 years ago

I think government should make some strict law for recovery of bad corporate loan instead of privatized or selling of idbi bank because selling of bank will be a injustice those who have joined this as a government entity and now their future is in dark without their any fault

  • G Srikanth - 6 years ago

Merge IDBI bank otherwise govt take directions and punishable actions against NPA defaulters. NPA is not only in IDBI bank other public sector banks also why your reducing stake in IDBI bank only.
We should be remained as govt banker not private banker. We came to this bank as govt holding not private holding.

Save idbi as govt bank please

IDBI Bank ko merge karana better option h na ki LIC ko sell karana

  • Arpita - 6 years ago

Government should not use people money of insurance.. they do insurance for their old age . Govt. Should take the responsibility of PSBs and shouldnt run away from problem by diluting stake below 51%. Take a vital action against the corporates who had done npas. Otherwise today its idbi and then other 21 psbs are also in line with same problem of npa . What will govt. Do ? Privatise all of them and run away ? And also if there would not be any govt. Bank who will give services to poor people of india which is 70% population of india . Govt. Should rethink and instead of such a decision should strengthen PSBs like IDBI and others

Selling household goods rather than earning is easier. Govt is doing the same thing which is bad. The govt must think about their decision. As per Piyush Goyal sir, both pic and IDBI is driven by their board but my question is whether there is no one appointed by the govt of India. NPA of IDBI Bank is very high as per reply submitted by Shri Piyush Goyal but whether govt can take name of the defaulters. If the govt is awarded about the name of defaulters what step they had taken to recover that bad debts. Selling something is very easy rather than producing. Pls let me know if any industry is setup by BJP govt. There are in power from last 4 years. Can they provide actual data of job created by them. According to them they had provided so many crores under mudra yojna. I want to ask them who has provided the loan. Govt or bank. Each and every banker is very well aware to whom they had provided that loan. The job was created by the bankers not by the govt. The govt is telling that they had provided so many gas connections under ujjwala yojna. Whether it is correct to close the connection in the name of husband or provide another gas connection (which is actually not required by the family) in the name of female member of the family without cost. Who had covered so many people under pmsby and pmjbyBankersnor govt. APY- the worst investment scheme. Just check the return. A person can earn more than that as pension by investing same amount in mutual fund.
Advise: Cure the disease not kill the patient.
    This is my personal opinion.

Govt should focus on recovering corporate NPA rather than focusing on reducing stake in idbi bank.
