Most of our parking spots are now being used by people who own their own businesses. The love to park their business trailers on our city streets. One neighbour takes up 7 spots for 4 people and the next door neighbour takes up 3 spots for 4 people and never park on their own driveway choosing to park on the city street instead. No reason at all why they cannot park on their own driveway and move their vehicle if someone wants out of the garage but they do not want to have to move their vehicles so they park on the street instead. Business vehicles, as in business trailer used in construction etc. should have to PAY extra to the city to park their units on our roadways is how I feel today.

I tell you what, if the city no longer thinks we should have any say because someone wants to use
the spaces in residential neighborhoods to let their customers patronize a bar or cafe. Then these businesses can start to pay for the winter snow removal and not make the residence totally responsible for cutting the grass and clearing the snow if we have no say how it's going to be used. This city and some councilors what their cake and eat it too. Bet the Mayor and some councilors don't have any issues with parking in front of their homes. Congestion is not the fault of home owners the city planning department is.
