St. Bernard - A year ago, the St. Bernard Titans lost to Shroder 41-0, and beat them 39-0 Aug. 23. The players bought into an offseason lifting and conditioning program and quickly it has paid off. I know there is a lot of work still to do, but these kids have an opportunity to be a special team.
Colerain – The Cardinals scored early and often on La Salle leading 16-0 midway through the first quarter and 23-0 early in the second quarter. The Colerain defense was staunch while quarterback Deante Smith-Moore ran for 157 yards and a score.
Fairfield – The Indians ran away from Centerville in the second half, breaking a 21-all tie and winning 49-21. JuTahn McClain racked up 7 touchdowns and had 437 all-purpose yards.
St. Xavier – The Bombers may have found their starting quarterback in junior Wyatt Hudepohl, whose passing and running led to a 34-0 shutout of Lakota West at Paul Brown Stadium.
Oak Hills - The Highlanders were winless last year and had lost 12 in a row before defeating the defending Indiana 4A champions 28-21 on a pass from Ethan Myers to Aaron Frick.
Lakota East – The Thunderhawks had the triple option clicking with a 42-7 pasting of Walnut Hills. Lakota East ran for 278 yards on five scores bringing on the running clock.
Princeton – The Vikings of Mike Daniels dominated the run game against Milford behind Thomas Boyd and Hosea Hairston. The Vikings finished with over 400 yards rushing beating the Eagles 34-16.
Wyoming – The Cowboys demolished Columbus Academy 42-14 as junior Evan Prater ran for two scores and threw three touchdowns to senior Joey Edmonds.
Indian Hill – The Braves shut down the New Richmond run game, while Dimetrius Baylor had 179 yards on the ground as Indian Hill won big 45-12
