He shot a 3-over 75 at Beavercreek Golf Club in the first round of the Miami Valley Conference tournament (second round in September), finishing the day atop the leaderboard. He also helped his team to a win over CCD shooting 1-over 37 during a nine-hold match at TPC Rivers Bend.

  • Kyle Schmidt, Lakota East – The two-time Greater Miami Conference player of the year has shot three consecutive rounds of 70. He was the overall medalist at the Oakwood Invitational, helping his team to a first-place finish.

Then Aug. 22, he was medalist, leading his team to a 7-stroke victory in a dual match against perennial league powerhouse Wyoming. He had a one-over par 36 on the front nine at the Maketewah Country Club.
