The PASSAGE proposal is absurd! I work in support services and I fear teachers will leave in mass if this is passed. I agree that arrest and expulsion are extreme but suspension??? While often overused, eliminating it all together without putting additional supports in place to help students succeed will not help. The people who are proposing this also have an unrealistic view of parent involvement. I work in a cluster with high parent involvement and we still struggle to get parent support.
