Everyone should know that if it wasn't for the previous generations, MLP FiM wouldn't exist. G1 and seasons 1-4 of G4 were the best to me.

I wish there were more options for this poll. I adore G1 and G2 had a strange sort of charm to it, G3 has some guilty pleasures of mine but i mostly don't enjoy it, and G3.5 is hell on Earth. I of course love G4, and am hopeful for G5. EQG is something i'm not too passionate about but i enjoy it enough during hiatuses, i don't think it should be part of this poll. It should be pony only, then a separate poll for more updated views of EQG as a whole, because that has branched into tv specials, CYOAs and shorts as well as the movies.

I liked some of the G1 episodes, but the rest (other than G4) were mind numbing.

I like Wind Whistler & Whizzer from G1 & Minty from G3.
It depends... I watched some episodes from the 3rd generation and I liked some of them, but I hated some of them, too. Does it mean I like other generations when I like some episodes? There really should be more opinions in this poll...
I think this could do with a little more resolution in the answers. I like G1-G3, but not nearly as much as G4. Also when older generations are mentioned, it becomes worth noting that I'm just here for the animation, whereas many who like the old stuff are more into the toys than the show.

I like the look of the G1 toys but I really like the G4 cartoon and the G4 fandom, ergo I voted for G4.
