Increasing the size of the fire department is simply not affordable, nor is it necessary. The number of paid fire fighters continues to increase across the country as the number of actual fire calls declines. Let’s dicuss this in ten years.
Why would this even need a poll??
You have growing infrastructure with growing population, you have what amounts to solidified gasoline for household furnishings nowadays, and you have lightweight home construction to save on the cost of wood. This all amounts to a need for better equipment, faster responses, and MORE STAFF.
