I haven't tried the rain shower yet, so I'm looking forward to it.

I have a hand held shower head that is positioned in a mount at about 45 degrees. It is also a shower massage head. I use it like a regular shower for washing but use it hand held on a massage setting to help loosen sore muscles after a hard days work or relax the pain in my hip from where I broke it (it's why I'm a disabled Navy veteran).
I've always liked the hand held because most shower heads are positioned too low. I usually end up having to crouch to get my head wet. I'm not even that tall. I'm 5'10". Also I like that it makes it easier to clean the shower. I only used a rain shower once at a hotel. It was fine.
