This dinner has long outlived its usefulness. It needs to go back to being a boring event where white folks in the media and white folks in the government commiserate over boiled chicken and limp green beans, and give speeches about the 1st amendment. The only reason they go with the comic is because its the only part the public is interested in; Obama was the only President who was ever funny there. Even the journalists dont like being roasted by the comic, so they should stop going through it, just so they can have content for that weekend. Roast culture is not for the weak.

Ever since Michelle Wolf fried Huckabee Sanders at the Correspondents dinner last year she hasn’t worn that Smokey eye in public since. Those jokes hit home. How some jokes remove a portion of your make up rotation. Snowflakes.
