Baby It's Cold Outside simply is NOT a Christmas song. Calling it that is where I draw the line. I don't think it should be banned since there are so many other songs, artworks, poetry, movies...literally all art forms...which have a similar if not more overt theme. No one seems to want to ban them. Just stop linking this song with Christmas. It's bad taste at best.

They’d have to ban half if not more of the music that is played on today’s radio stations. There is so much more sexually graphic material out there and yet they play it. They’re always trying to stir up grief when there doesn’t need to be.

I believe in artistic integrity and to ban a song because it may offend people goes against everything a free and democratic society stands for. We are a few steps away from book burning in the town square.

I'm offended by songs that depict women as whores. So I don't listen to them. If you are offended by a song don't listen. Simple. I don't understand why people think it's ok to force their views on everyone.

This has gone too far. Every time someone is offended are we to ban a song? Ban a book? Ban a video? What’s next?! Totally ridiculous. My question is to those who find this inappropriate or offensive, what about all the explicit songs about sex, women and their bodies, drugs, depression etc??? What about music videos that demean women?? Why are these songs and videos not being banned?? Where is the me too movement on these other songs that are being played all year round? All music is open to interpretation and I believe this song was based on an innocent flirtation. It’s a classic song from the 40’s. I read that people are concerned for their children listening to baby it’s cold outside and what it represents. If you have kids be sure to listen to the music and lyrics they like. The new music of today isn’t all sweet and innocent it’s a lot different! There’s a reality check.

There are many victims and non-victims in this 90%group of support. There is never a mention of putting the female in any position (drugs, restaints, etc) of not allowing her to leave. This is Flirting! This is an innocent song that our foolish society is looking for a scandal! Please stop this! There are real issues to deal with- this song, And other animated Christmas shows are not!

This song is one of my favorite songs played this time of year. I am more offended by songs, mainly rap that has alot of needed bleeps. But, as others I know how to turn the station or just play my favorite CD's. PLAY THE SONG! It's beautiful.

Some are taking things too far. If you don’t like something change the station!

I agree with Gayle King. This is an amusing song that I have enjoyed every year since I was a child. To me, it is an amorous back-and-forth between a couple and is in no way threatening.

This is getting to be ridiculous now!!! I am all for the ME TOO Movement, but to ban a song from the 40's is too much. I am a woman and have been through a lot, but this is going too far!!!

This is so wrong. It is such a nice Christmas song. I think the focus here is on the wrong side. I feel bad for everyone who has gone through abuse of any kind! No one should ever suffer like that! But why don't we focus on punishing the purpetrators instead of a song that has nothing harmful in it? The ones with bad intentions and acts should be the ones banned from everywhere and everyone! Otherwise everything that is meant to be just a simple innocent joke or situation will be banned. If you are adult you know right from wrong! Banning one song is not going to stop the purpetrators, but putting them in prision will!

Everyone who is offended has the ability to turn the station when the song comes on. There many more offensive songs out there. I know how to change a station. I don't think some people should be able to speak for everyone. Is this still America we live in?

People you need to stop, your getting out of hand with the crazy ideas ! Everyday it’s something else! You can read anything into anything. Guys have be chasing women from the beginning of time, know all of a sudden it’s a big deal. I’ll admit some men are bad, but not all of them are.

I agree, enough is enough, get over it, the song is a classic, enjoy it!

Next thing, people with nothing better to think about, will find something wrong with the Wizard of Oz classic

It’s really sad that everyone thinks and hears negative in everything today. It’s a song, it’s Christmas music and it’s meant to be playful and fun. If all you hear is something negative then the song isn’t the issue...I would say you should talk to someone because your missing out on the good in this world by only seeing the negative. More people need to smile and be happy.

Its a christmas song. There are so many other worse things in the world like some of the cartoons we let kids watch about demons and monsters.

when does it stop. we are constantly being judged with every day issues. freedom of speech. freedom to bare arms. just because someone doesnt like a song or the way you looked at them or something you said doesnt allways maKe it wrong. get over your self this is AMERICA UNITED STSTES OF AMSRICA. get it ; we all have a say not just one person. thats the presidents job. play the dam song!!!!!

  • Marlanie Lemke - 5 years ago

If a person doesnt like something then don't listen to it, don't watch it or don't read it. Don't push your opinion on other people.
    Enough is enough!

People need to get over it, it's a song. Ridiculous that we have to ban everything because it might offend someone. Where does it stop??
