Ten days ago, waiting for a bus, it looked like it wasn't coming, so I grabbed a bus on the other side of the street heading the opposite direction (it will make a loop and in a few minutes I'll be heading where I want to be). Middle of this loop I saw the late bus approaching, so I got off and crossed the street to transfer, only to see the approaching bus now turned off its interior lights and changed its sign to "Sorry, out of service"... it was probably taken out of service as it was running late, something that is often done. When a bus is really late, they just cancel it all together. Luckily the bus I hopped off was still waiting across the street as the driver stepped out for a smoke break, otherwise I would have been waiting another 20 or 30 minutes.
As "the most interesting man in the world" might say, I don't often take the bus, but when I do, it's late or doesn't arrive at all.
