Hey, if Justin B made 10.3 Million dollars this year, how much is that in terms of a person making 14 bucks an hour?

At 35 hours a week=k full time (1 hour unpaid lunch per day, 5 days a week)
    times 14 an hour
For 50 hours a week (accounting for statutory holidays taking roughly 14 days of the year)

    ThAT'S A PRE-DEDUCTION TOTAL OF $24,500.00 per year

Assume that with EI, and CPP deductions and both Provincial and Federal Tax one would then end up with a yearly total of about $19,000.00

So how many time does 19 grand go into 10.3 million?

    542 times

So Justin Bieber made what 542 Canadians this year made... COMBINED!!!!!!!

FIVE HUNDRED AND FORTY-TWO times what those in the Toronto Business community claimed "would KILL the Canadian Economy" by each making a WHOPPING 14 an hour.

FIVE HUNDRED and FORTY-TWO times what Joe and Jane Average made... and yet the moronic imbeciles in Toronto's upper crust elite had the BALLS to claim that paying someone the poverty level amount of ONE FIVE HUNDREDTH of what Justin Bieber made this year, would KILL the Canadian Economy?

(Yet most of those ELITISTS, made NO LESS THAN a Hundred Thousand a year, themselves!!!)

Exterminate an Elitist... save the world!!!!!

  • Yeah but - HEY tis is WORSE than that - 5 years ago

You mentioned the "midrange" tickets for this thing, but you did not mention the "Standard" or "Higher-end" tickets.

For "Standard" seating, not necessarily way out in the proverbial "boonies", so in-close-enough that it "might" possibly be equivalent to as close in as one could reasonably see when tuning in to the TV broadcast - the tickets are $199.00 plus fees and tax per person. So for a family of 2 adults, and 3 kids - the cost (pre-fees/taxes) would be $ 1,200.00. Add the fees and taxes to that, and a minimal parking cost, average costs for drinks and "snacks" for 5, you are at roughly $1,500.00 without buying any event t-shirts or anything.

That you were able to locate solid facts about a 5 day round trip for a family of 5 to and from DISNEY (During March BREAK high season) costing roughly 3,000.00 it goes to show that one can spend 3 grand to give your family of 5 a week they will remember forever, as a winter break or one can spend a little less than half of that for a 3 hour event on a night dedicated to a bunch of very rich, egocentric singers telling each other "Hey aint we fantastic, look how many idiots just spent a life-savings to come watch us prance around on stage congratulating each other at how rich we have become!!!!"

Personally, I'm taking the family to DISNEY for a week, and staying AWAY from the ego-trip event that gets me, well.. nothing but a boat load of "let me kick your ass, you greedy so-and-so!"

    Not sure about YOU!

  • Wow, say what - 5 years ago

In response to the "Will you be going to the Juno Awards" poll":

Having visited the Molson Gardens website and looked at the various ticket prices available, and assuming that the "average Joe and Jane Public" (plus their 2.5 kids) would want to attend this (as touted by London City Council) "Once in a Lifetime Mega-Event", the ticket price PER PERSON (No "children's price... simply FULL Price") would be for "nosebleed" section (typically the CRAP seats that nobody with a disposable income wants to buy because they are so far back you’ll see FAR MORE at home watching it on Television, than you will in THOSE sh1tty seats"!!!), the price of $175.00 per person, plus venue fees, and taxes brings it to about $200.00 per ticket.

So to take YOU, Your Spouse, and 2.5 kids (but you can't buy 1/2 a ticket, so we are forced to round it to 3 whole kids) to this thing that London City Council is touting as "The MUST Go TO EVENT" in London for 2019, one would have to pay, (Including Event/Venue Fees, and Taxes on top), roughly, $1,028.30 plus 20 bucks parking and any "souvenirs" or "food and beer" on top of that... so basically... to take the family to this thing it will cost you, $1,100.00 for a 3 hour one-time event.

In a search of ALL the discounted TRAVEL websites, it became quite clear that taking 2 adults and 3 kids to DISNEY, including AIRFARE, HOTEL AND park Tickets for a week, would run a grand total (taxes included) of just over 3 thousand bucks. So.....

One can take the kids to a televised party where multi-millionaires pat themselves of the back for being so stinking-filthy rich in an era where the biggest debate this year was "why should we pay ANYONE 14 bucks an hour, won't that kill the profitability of Canadian Businesses?" .... OR.... if you prefer, you can pay slightly more to fly the entire family to the USA, stay in a 5-star RESORT for a week, and enjoy Walt Disney World for a week... a once-in-a-lifetime memory most kids (especially for those parents’ people are pissed off about paying 14 bucks an hour) will NEVER get to enjoy, as long as they live!?

This is NOT a "bring culture to London" event, as the elitist London City Council has tried to sell it to the citizens of London... but rather as "Let's bring the highest earners out of Toronto to London for a night", since only THEY an afford these hilariously overpriced rates!?!?!

London City Hall... the largest JOKE in Ontario (short of Ford and his repeal of Welfare money while instead investing in DOLLAR BEERS!!!"

(Have you ALL lost what little of your minds is left.... of are you just as flabbergasted at the bullshit as I am?")

I am afraid, Canada has become the USA... filled with Churchfield stupid people who would rather cheer than think.

    How blooming SAD is THAT??!?!??!?
