Honestly, wireless charging is becoming a universal aligner for getting rid of different plugs and their compatibility or rather the lack there of. I don’t see why anyone should or would chose a wireless charging soulution based on the company making it alone. As long as these companies are making the devices with the wireless capabilities you should be buying a charger that fits your needs. Or something you just like at least. Being faithful to Apple or any company just for the brand name is honestly stupid.

Went out this weekend and picked up a new dock from Belkin. It can charge the iPhone, watch and a third product through the USB port.

Pi Charger is coming out early 2019. That is true wireless charging. That will render Air Power DOA. Apple should just buy them.

I got a lamp from Ikea two years ago with a Qi charging built into the base. $24 It's how I charge my phone every night. In my car I have a phone mount with built in Qi charging and I receive auto via a bluetooth receiver plugged into the AUX-IN. All wireless for my iPhone X.

And what about a car charger for the new iPad Pro with USB-C?

I wasn’t that interested in wireless charging till I tried it. Now I’m impressed, and use a wireless charger on my desk at work, but I use the alarm clock mode when I charge my watch, so AirPower is not that exciting to me.
