Alexes Rodriguez, Covington Catholic – He pinned his McClain opponent in 1:09 to take first place in the 145 weight class of the Southern Hills Community Bank Invitational Dec. 29, helping CovCath to a sixth-place team finish.
Cameron Baird, Harrison – He won by technical fall over his Medina opponent in the championship of the 132-weight class at the Medina Invitational Tournament Dec. 29. He’s 10-0 on the season with 5 pins, according to the SWOC website.
Ike Weyand-Geise, Walnut Hills - He went undefeated (4-0) on Saturday at the Cub Classic Duals in Madison, Indiana. He finished with two pins, one major decision (20-11), and one regular decision (10-4) over his foes from Indiana. His first pin of the day sealed the Walnut Hills team victory over Paoli High School. He did it all with his right eye swollen shut after he took a hard elbow to the face during warm-ups.
Kobi-D Milam, Loveland - In the trip to Wheeling, W.Va., for the 38-team Park City Duals, the junior went 7-1 with four first-period pins, one first-period tech fall, one decision, one forfeit, and one loss. He helped his team place 14th overall, with a team dual record of 4-4.
